Size guide
The right size makes a piece feel like it was made for the room. Here's how to choose, and every size we make.
Three quick rules
- Two-thirds of the furniture. Above a sofa, bed or sideboard, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. For a 210 cm sofa, that's roughly 140 cm wide.
- Eye level is about 145 cm. Hang so the centre of the piece sits around 145 cm (57 in) from the floor. Above furniture, leave 15 to 25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the art.
- On a bare wall, go bigger than you think. A piece that fills about 60 to 75% of the open wall reads as intentional. Small art on a big wall tends to look lost.
Tip: cut paper or painter's tape to the size you're considering and stick it on the wall for a day. It's the easiest way to be sure.
Which shape?
Every Ofsadi artwork is sold in its own proportions, so it's never cropped. The shape is shown on each product page.
- Wide (2:3, 3:4, 4:5, 16:9): the classic choice above sofas, beds and sideboards.
- Panoramic (1:2, 1:3 and longer): made for long walls, low headboards and wide consoles.
- Square (1:1): calm and balanced, and easy to pair in twos or threes.
- Tall: the same shapes turned upright, for narrow walls, hallways and beside doors.
Every size we make
Sizes are listed as width × height for wide pieces; tall pieces are the same sizes turned upright. Art prints, framed prints, canvas and framed canvas come in most sizes. The largest statement sizes are made as canvas or framed canvas only.
